Because They Grow Up

At one time there was that journey... off to pre-school. A little unsure as to where you were going. Nervous about all the fuss and preparation... Excited to see this place so important... Reluctant to leave home. Comfort is a fleeting thing. This is where you find out if your coping skills are resilient enough; mature enough; This is were you find out what you know and what you don't. This is when you find out if any of it matters.

In life there are many such journeys, but what happens when you are unprepared for life... and we all are. Exhausting the mind, fatiguing the body, often even rotting the soul. Alone whether there are people around or not. These step are yours. No other could have made them. Your choices, your thoughts, your meanings and trifles. Owe it all. Be in this moment whole and unbroken; perfectly unperfect, tattered and bruised. Find yourself where you are. Be present. This is not the bottom. This is where you make a choice.
